My experience with Dr. Knight was a remarkable one. She corrected a poorly applied Juvederm by a physician I will not mention here. The procedure was supposed to add volume to my cheeks but and ended up looking like pillows under my eyes. Two years had passed but my appearance did not improve it would not go away on its own. Dr. Knight was able to dilute the Juvederm with three sessions.. She is was very careful and precise since it was a sensitive area. I would recommend her to anyone that is wanting to rejuvenate their appearance.
I've always found Dr. Knight to be friendly, funny, thorough and professional. She did surgery on my nose and worked in such a small area, it was unbelievable. I was left with a small scar that disappeared in a few days. She's a gorgeous woman physically and people need to STOP HATING!
I'd like to know what type of dermatologist that knows you have allergies to fragrance gives you products to use WITH FRAGRANCE. I was a TEEN and now still having issues in my 30s! Took years for me to get my life back together as I went through face discoloration, an even worse breakout, and my skin turned worse and caused an allergy to water.
I felt unwelcome the entire time I was there, which was well over an hour the first time and over one & a half hours the second time before being seen...and I had a late morning app't. She has the worst and most belittling bedside manner that I've ever experienced. I never concern myself with race but I was very uncomfortable with her disposition. From a distance she sat and peered at me while stating that I must have some poor habits regarding skin care, while somehow appearing to savor the idea that I, being a white male, had come to her for medical help. She appears very insecure, hence the air of authority. Or, she may just have a stale personality. The staff was more friendly.
my first I visited Dr Knight office on 3 different occasions . My first experience with dr knight was a bit surprising. on my first office visit I was greeted by her assistant before seeing her. As usual, the question was asked â what seem to be the problemâ , as I explain my problems , 4 different issues , I was told by the assistant that , who by the way was taking note on a piece of paper the size of a post it, that the doctor only take care of two concern per office visit . I was shocked to know that I had to make another appointment for my other concern. On my second and third visit my appointment was made to see Dr. Knight and on both visit I saw two different Physician Assistant . I think it was very unprofessional for them to schedule me to see a PA without letting me know. And because of that and the fact that its 2 problems per visit , I am no longer her patient
Dr. Knight is very caring and an expert in her industry. The office just needs a good manager to ensure patients are processed smoothly and the front office staff is trained to perform good customer service.
Once I arrived for my appointment I think I might of sat down for 5 minutes before they called me back to be seen; which I thought was rather quick. Dr Knight came in the room talked to me in a very caring and concerned way about my condition. She was very professional and friendly I will definitely be returning to see her again soon!!
I have read all of the negative reviews posted on this site and I absolutely agree with them. I will not be wasting my time or money on this practice again.
I had been going to this doctors office for sometime and have always been billed the same amount until this last time. I literally only went in for a refill and when the bill came a month later, I noticed I was charged twice as much! I called and spoke to the billing department who said they charged me more because the appointment took longer? As if thats my fault that the new nurse practitioner took more time to see patients, when I only saw her for literally two minutes to write me up a new prescription! Also the person I spoke to in the billing team was so arrogant and patronizing as I was discussing with her why I should not be charged twice as much for something I never even received. She said they cant change it and pretty much could have cared less about trying to fix it. So I told her that I would never be back there and they lost my business!
I'm not satisfied with this woman. She treated her nurse disrespectfully in front of me. She has lost her compassion and her bedside manner is disgusting. She focuses more on her looks than anything. She's not that great looking and that honey blond hair color is sooo wrong for her...I don't get it. You want a great doctor that not only fights to figure out her patients issues while showing compassion and friendliness towards them while giving them the dignity they deserve....don't bother going to dr knight. Go to dr Victoria gross...she's right up the street and she's worth your time and money.
I was a patient of Dr. Knight's for years - all through high school and I suffered what was later diagnosed by a competent doctor as Tinea Versicolor. As a matter of fact, my skin condition was featured on the Today Show with Kathy Lee and Hoda. For 4 years I was a patient of Dr. Knight and she NEVER diagnosed my skin disorder. I was constantly sold MD Formulations. Visit after visit, cream, pill after the next all the same - discolored skin. I even told her that my skin responds to shampoo and she just dismissed it. She is a fraud and she be regulated to a Esthitician. I even went to an Allergist because I thought that I had a food allergy and told her I thought it was Tinea Versicolor, from doing my own research and she agreed. She was even surprised that it was NEVER mentioned to me. There are no words to describe my disgust with Dr. Knight. She needs to return to medical school or do ANOTHER residency in Internal Medicine because her diagnostician skills are lacking. If she can't inject with botox, remove body hair or diagnose your acne she becomes incompetent. My parents wasted so much time, money and I lost years. She is a horrid human being and even more despicable Dermatologist.
I did not have a good experience with Dr. Knight. I saw her for two minutes and she had a TERRIBLE attitude. She was not comforting at all and was actually very rude.
Yvonne seems to have lost her passion for for her practice.I remember her when she treated my then young child 20 years ago and she was brilliant...but when I saw her recently she seemed my concerned with being cute and youthful as opposed to treating patients.I have to admit that she is still a cutie and sexy but the attitude has to go
Great Dermatologist! IF I want, I can see the others, but, I choose to see Dr. Knight, and, I always do.
Pretty sure she doesn't like your average citizen. I felt discriminated against because I don't have a copay. She spent two minutes with me (after I waited for an hour) , and her patient in front of me (also black but clearly a little better off than me) for over an hour.
This was my first visit to Dr.Knight practice, and my last. I waited for more than an hour. I was told from the first nurse that I could only address two issues. I thought when you go for a consultation that all of your questions and concerns should be address. But instead I was limited to two issues, basically so I can continue to go back and pay those co-pays. Second, the nurse prationer examined my two concerns, and I expressed that I had more questions about other things, and they will try to get to my other questions. When the doctor arrived, she states that this field if she would address all of my questions that she will be here all day. WHAT KIND OF DOCTOR SAYS THAT!!!!! Then goes on to say that my issues were a MESS. I experienced poor customer service, and I will never go back for any type of service.
Every time I make an appointment to see Dr.Knight guess what I end up with someone else. She has popped in from time to time to check on something but she acts like you are not even there. Very, very RUDE. I am surprised she is still in business she has no nurturing qualities at all. I am pretty sure none of the people who work for her like her. She is cold as ice.
I never saw Dr Yvonne Knight. I was seen by her assistant & that was a joke. She dug a hole in my arm testing a patch. The assistant did not know what my rash was. Then they gave me a cream for it. How can you give me medicine & you don't know what it is. I hate that place. My bill was over $200 for nothing.
Doctor didn't listen to my issues or conerns. She did most of the talking AT me and AT her staff. My issue wasn't resolved. In my opinion, common courtesy, and bedside manner are less than stellar. Will choose another doctor in the area.
As a returning patient, it took me nearly 4 weeks to be seen by Dr. Yvone Knight. The day of my apt., it took me almost 2 hours to be seen by her; only for the visit to last less than 10 mins and then I felt rushed at that.
I had to pick a Doctor close to me that took my insurance as my other Doctor quite taking my insurance. I made the big mistake of choosing Dr. Knight. I think she is rude and thoughtless. Her office staff.....are like robots. They never speak to you in a polite way first...they come in and spit out written instructions and never really look you in the eye? The whole experience was strange. I have been several times as I have not had time to change, but trust me, I WILL!Also, she lacks due diligence in providing and monitoring these medications. They come in and never look at your skin to check it??? I really do not recommend anyone go here.......not a caring place at all. The receptionist seems to be the nicest person there?
I recently had a family member go to Dr. Knight and we were both very upset. She lacks the bedside manner and needs to learn to respect and LISTEN to her patients. There are wonderful dermatologists in the Richmond area, please do your research before selecting one.
Distant, arrogant and appathetic bed side manner. Went to doctor for rash, she gave me cream. I told her that I had been working in the yard with a Barberry Bush and I had been experiencing stomach pain - she said that wouldn't have caused the rash and the stomach problem should be discussed with my primary care physician. She gave me a topical cream and said it was mild dermatitis.Come to find out, through research on my own via internet, this bush trimmed outside of it's dormant stage can be toxic (level 3) for some people. My rash became increasing worse - Ended up going to another dermatoligist just down the street and they agreed that it was probably an allergic reaction 1)They took a biopsy to make sure it was nothing more serious and 2)They prescribed Prednisone 3)Told me to take Benedryl until my rash settled down.Yvonne Knight could've, at least, researched the issue, but my perception is that she just didn't care. It took a total of 6 weeks to get over this rash - Had it been treated properly by Dr Knight in the first place, I wouldn't have had to suffer as much.I have a friend that goes to the SPA side of her office and she's treated like a queen. That's because it's the money making side of the business.
This doctor didn't listen to the history of my skin or even allow for me to talk about my condition on the first visit. She's the expert! The PA will talk with you and take a detailed history. Dr. Knight glances at your chart, glances at your face, and tells you what medications to take. Even when I asked questions about my skin she was very brief. On subsequent visits she had a very blaming attitude b/c the medications didn't work. If she had talked with me on the first visit, she would've known that my condition was severe and NO medications had worked in the past. Her staff is beautiful and courteous every time.
I have been coming to Dr. Knight's office for about two years. I finally saw "her" for the first time a couple months ago after asking for Dr. Knight. Overall, the staff is great but faces change often. Dr. Knight is not very friendly. She does not ask the patient the problem but just looks at your acne. I was not impressed this system. She is a deceit doctor without good bedside manners. At least, TALK and LISTEN to the PATIENT. The professional staff is the reason I return to Dr. Knight's office. I wish she would change and show concern for the patient.
My overall experient as a patient was great. Doctor and staff displayed excellent courtesy and professionalism.
I've been a patient of Dr. Knights for quite a while, and i have yet to see her. Her colleagues give me alll these samples to try out every time i visit without even looking at my skin.. what kind of doctor does that? Anyway none of the medicines have worked. i went in with minor problems and now i have major problems. She's not a good dermatologist
I visited this office several times over the course of 1 year for acne. Each time, the staff was exceptional. However, I was humiliated by Dr. Knight. As a patient, she didn't talk to me. Rather, she talked about me and my treatment to the PA or she talked at me. It was difficult to get her to even listen to my concerns without butting in and telling me what to do. She's the boss and the employees seems to respectfully jump at her command. However, I'm a paying client. At the least, I expect for my issues and concerns to be heard and appropriately addressed.
