I am writing this review for my brother who was seen at Holy Cross Hospital by Dr Segota. After being several hours late to be seen by the doctor she was rude, defensive and not at all concerned with his well being. He has a blood clot over a foot long and was told there was nothing that could be done for him and to follow up with his primary care physician. When we asked if it was safe for him to fly home (we are on vacation in Ft Lauderdale), her response was, and I quote "there are no guarantees in life". She talked over us, did not directly answer a single question we had, and when we asked to see a vascular surgeon for consult her response was "there is no point" and "he won't do anything for you". After demanding to see a doctor who actually knew what they were talking about and would provide some sort of insight into why this was happening to a perfectly healthy 28 year old, we found within minutes the cause of the problem and what needed to be done. Turns out he has a condition that requires IMMEDIATE dissolving of the clot through use of a catheter and immediate surgery following!!! Dr Segota was not knowledgable whatsoever, nor did she care to even find what was wrong. He was prescribed a blood thinner, told the clot was still there and would take time to dissolve on its own and there was not a thing that could be done or an explanation as to why. Stay away from this doctor. Not only is she pompous and unprofessional, she doesn't have a clue and doesn't care to even attempt to provide insight.

My ex-mother-in-law was in Holy Cross as a cancer patient. Dr. Segota had the bedside manner of coroner...she had no empathy, and she had many inaccurate and upsetting statements and observations. She basically told us that all we could do for mom was make her comfortable until she died, and that she had a wekk or 10 days to live, at most. This was in October, and mom lived until late March. She was moved to North Broward in November and OUT of Dr. Segota's care, and the physicians at North Broward were appalled at hearing of Dr. Segota's treatment of Mom. Bad Bad Bad Bad!!!!

- Her caseload is massive and this doctor is working at two hospitals and cannot even remember to ever be on time for anything. - Absolutely no continuity with her plans and actions - PLEASE RETIRE - This doctor has the worst bedside manner and makes patients feel uncomfortable with her interrogating questions. - She should work for the library system and learn to be quiet and listen instead of dictating wrong advice and masterful with nothing!! *******BE A VET IN YOUR NEXT LIFE******* People have feelings doctor and you have forgotten this, especially when treating cancer patients. PLEASE RETIRE ~

This woman did not listen attentively and had so many patients on her charts at Holy (Heck) Cross that she misdiagnosed. Her bedside manner is lacking as well probably due to her harsh upbringing in some third world country in Croatia. She should not be working with patients in any capacity and is heartless!
