Dr. Thomas Kent Donaldson, MD

Dr. Donaldson is incredibly rude and disrespectful. My appointment with Dr. Donaldson was scheduled for 9 a.m. He entered the office between 10:37 and 10:42 a.m. At that time, I was in the process of involuntarily committing a client who was considered a danger to themselves and others. When Dr. Donaldson entered, he didn’t speak or introduce himself. Instead, he reached out and attempted to disconnect the urgent call I was wrapping up. Rather than continuing with the appointment—one I had been waiting over six months for—he left without seeing me. Junge, Dr. Donaldson's found this to be exceedingly entertaining, or that is what I assumed by his smile and laughter.

Dr Donaldson is an amazing Dr. I was diagnosed with bone cancer 20 years ago and have seen almost every specialist in SoCal. dr Donaldson is literally the best. I have had surgeries at UCLA and seen all Dr’s over the years. My experience with Dr Donaldson has been the best. He completed a very risky surgery that UCLA refused to do and he gave me my life back. I am forever grateful for this surgeon who also has amazing bedside manner.

If you are looking for a perfect bedside manner you are looking for the wrong person here. If you are looking for an excellent orthopedic surgeon Dr. Donaldson is who you want. He did an excellent job with my knee replacement. I like his personality but he's not for everyone, but his personality was not replacing my knee. Many surgeons who are good in their fields are booked solid and over book their appointments. I always take a book with me to pass the time. I expect to be waiting. People who are complaining about his demeanor need to get over themselves.

Excellent result with good pretreatment consultation. He spent time explaining all the details. Very comfortable in just a few days with no substantial pain at any time

This guy may have earned a medical degree but in fact is very abusive with patients, lacking any understanding, sympathy and trashing patients as if they do not count. He is also careless when doing surgeries and patients suffer a lot unnecessary. Read reviews of patients in the last 2 years which will help you see the dark side of this guy. I am lucky that i went elsewhere to do my knee replacement. I am shocked to hear that he is now at loma linda to cripple mentally and physically patients.

Dr. Donaldson Is the best ortho surgeon I have had. He did Two hip revisions on my left hip. I was on crutches for years prior to seeing him. I was walking after the first surgery. The office staff has a BIG turnover, so they don't know who they are talking to. The follow-up after surgery is lacking. Many of Dr. Donaldson patients" fall through the cracks". If you can wait for hours (3 or more) Dr. Donaldson is for you. The bad rating is for the office staff!!

I had my knee replacement in 2013, I’ve sent many friends to him, my husband also had a partial replacement. He is the most knowledgeable, kindest Dr ever. The staff very kind. I highly recommend Dr Donaldson.....

Had knee replacement 7 months ago. Dr Donaldson never saw my husband after surgery was over to give a report to. I never saw him until the following day. My first post op appointment he said “I fell through the cracks on instructions for rehab” Thank God I knew a PT persons to contact. With each visit pre and post op to Dr Donaldson’s office the wait always exceeds 2 ½ hour to 3 hours. He is so overbooked without regard for his patients well being. It feels more like a cattle call then patient care. I would never recommend him.
