Rude, incompetent staff
They made many mistakes with our medication and the timing of treatment, even doing the insemination when it was too late because they forgot to prepare it in time. The nurse couldn't draw blood properly, putting the needle in the wrong place and bruising me. Dr. Hughes was nice enough, but we learned later that she didn't do all the tests she should have done and she skipped a step in treatment. We also learned that they were overcharging for the prescriptions by $200 over what the pharmacy charged so they could collect an extra profit. While they were always prompt in getting payment, they were slow in giving treatment, missing the best windows to do insemination.

Starting this journey as a 40 year old, I was unsure what to expect. What I found was a doctor, office staff and IVF program that was personal, professional and one of the best around. It was able to have access to the technology and successes through the program at St Barnabas but with a "small office" feel with Dr Hughes. I felt like things were explaned to me in a way I could understand and a very thoughtful approach taken to my case. I would highly recommend Dr Hughes to anyone seeking infertility treatments.

Professional, Knowledgeable & Kind
My husband & I only have pleasant memories of our journey w/. MD.HUGHES. The staff was always helpful & very informative. Never had a problem speaking to someone about my concerns or questions, they always answered my messages promptly. MD. HUGHES is a very knowledgeable caring doctor. She made sure we understood what steps we were taking & what steps we were going to take. Never felt uncomfortable because she has excellent bedside manners which was very important to me as I am sure it is very important to many women. I would highly recommend her to any family or friend.

Top notch care
I found Dr. Hughes through a referral via Hackensack Hospital and I highly recommend her. I'm 30 years old and with her help I'm finally pregnant. Prior to, my husband and I were trying for 16 months with no luck. Dr. Hughes is a friendly, optimistic Dr. She always gives you personal attention and makes you feel upbeat every time you leave her office. I also appreciated that Dr. Hughes was not overly aggressive with me. After blood work and exam, she was able to determine that I was healthy and my body just needed an extra push to get things going. After an initial attempt through IUI and failure, I was put on the lowest dose of fsh and was able to get pregnant right away. Also, she has a 13% chance of multiples versus the average of 18%. Dr. Hughes is wonderful
After 7 yrs and 3 other specialists, Dr. Hughes got me pregnant on her first try. She is truly amazing and does not just keep doing the same routine over and over. She is open about trying new things. I will forever be greatful for Dr. Hughes!
