Dr. Scott David Ungemach, DC

Scott D. Ungemach, DC, MUAC, is a Berwick, PA native and an honors graduate of Bloomsburg University who earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree Magna Cum Laude from Life University in Atlanta. With more than 20 years of clinical experience, Dr. Ungemach has treated patients across the spectrum—from professional athletes to individuals with routine spinal or extremity complaints—providing high-quality, evidence-informed chiropractic care. He employs a whole‑body approach and tailors treatment to each patient, using a range of techniques from gentle, non‑force methods to traditional manipulative care and advanced extremity procedures.

Dr. Ungemach has completed over 400 hours of continuing education in areas that include laser therapy, computer‑aided adjusting, advanced functional extremity techniques, diagnosis and management of fibromyalgia and myofascial pain syndrome, passive modalities (traction, muscle stimulation, ultrasound), sports injury prevention and treatment, …ergonomics, spinal pain syndromes, whiplash/spinal trauma, advanced radiological interpretation (X‑ray, CT, MRI), posture and gait training, trigger point and soft‑tissue techniques, MUA, and more. He was the first clinician in the region certified to use the SIGMA Pro‑Adjuster 360—a computer‑aided analysis and adjusting system that enables precise, non‑forceful care for spinal, extremity and soft‑tissue conditions—and is the only practitioner in Northeast PA certified in Mechanical Motion Therapy (MMT). He is also a Class IV Summus Medical laser provider and one of a handful of chiropractors in the area certified in Manipulation Under Anesthesia (MUA).

Dr. Ungemach’s clinical philosophy emphasizes pragmatic, patient‑centered care: he recognizes the limits of chiropractic and promptly refers to other specialists when appropriate. He manages a wide range of urgent and complex cases, including motor vehicle collisions, athletic and repetitive‑motion injuries, and chronic muscle imbalances, and frequently coordinates care with physical therapists, pain management specialists, and surgeons to develop individualized treatment plans.
