Meet Dr. Robert McEvoy

“I thought I had a Brain Tumor.”

The pain in my head was so extreme. I did not know what to do. I was 18 years old and working in a health club. I was literally sitting under a desk with my head in my hands and tears in my eyes. The health club’s Chiropractor entered the room where I was sitting and offered to adjust me. I thought…what is cracking my back going to do? After all, I just finished telling him the pain was in my head. I had head pain in the past but it always went away. This time was different. The pain was so intense, I felt I had nothing to lose by letting him check me. It was the best thing I ever did!

He evaluated me and adjusted my neck. Within a short period of time, the pain went away, I couldn’t believe it! He explained that every part of the body is controlled by the brain and nervous system and pain is the way the body tells us something is wrong. We then have two choices: either hide the pain with medication or fix the problem and usually …the problem is a misaligned vertebra (bone in the spine).

One experience with chiropractic changed my life forever.

That one experience changed my life forever! I was so amazed that I needed to find out everything I could about Chiropractic. I finally decided to become a Chiropractor and help others the way that I was helped.After completing Pre-Med, I applied to Palmer Chiropractic University in Davenport, Iowa. This is where Chiropractic started. I felt if I was going to learn Chiropractic, I needed to get my education from the source.

Since graduating in 1992, I’ve dedicated my life to helping others regain their health naturally through Chiropractic Care.

Many of the symptoms people suffer from are due to spinal misalignments which can cause pain or dysfunction. Chiropractic is the science of healing the body naturally by gently mobilizing the misaligned vertebrae thereby reducing nerve pressure and allowing the body to function more efficiently. This coupled with diet and exercise recommendations allow the person to achieve a greater state of health.
