Dr Colin Kong is proud to be a native of Plainville and a graduate of Swarthmore College. After receiving his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) and Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut’s School of Dental Medicine, he completed two years of postdoctoral specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at the UConn Health Center. In addition, he is a Board Certified Specialist in Pediatric Dentistry, holding Diplomate status with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.Dr. Kong has a broad background in biomedical science and has been published extensively in medical journals. As a practitioner, he has a particular interest in providing dental care for children with special health care needs. As a result of this interest, he volunteers for many humanitarian organizations, including the Special Olympics, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Habitat for Humanity, and the American Diabetes Association. He has a well-earned reputation as a skilled and compassionate professional who loves working …with kids and parents.Dr. Kong is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the Connecticut Society of Pediatric Dentists. He has recently joined the clinical faculty in Pediatric Dentistry at Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital.
