Dr. Adel Rizkalla, DDS

I have been of patient of Dr. Rizkalla's for over 20 years. Not only is he an excellent dentist but a wonderful person as well. He is always very clear and patient when explaining a dental issue and possible treatment, and I have never felt pressured into any kind of treatment. I completely trust Dr. Rizkalla with my teeth and would highly recommend him!

I have been a patient of Dr Rizkalla for over a decade. He takes a “whole health” approach, as well as takes time to understand his patients. I’ve had issues with cavities since I was a kid resulting in fillings, but upon starting with Dr Rizkalla we took a different approach. Where previous dentists would immediately drill and fill, we’ve managed to treat and monitor superficial cavities for years before filling. Over the past few years as we’ve replaced old fillings that have gotten to the end of their useful life, I greatly appreciate the strategy we’ve taken in minimizing new fillings to start with, and the positive impact it’s had on the health of my teeth. Excellent doctor, definitely recommend him.

We moved to VA 8 years ago and Dr. Rizkalla became my families dentist through the recommendation of a friend. I knew right away he was a world-class dentist who was practicing because he truly cares about each of his patients as if they are the only one. I always feel as though all of my questions are answered and he puts my mind at ease before each procedure. He’s by far the best dentist I’ve ever had!

Dr. Rizkalla found 5 cavities and recommended a mouth guard for my teeth grinding I was unaware of. Since the cost of cavities and guard are expensive, I had 2 additional 2nd opinions from nearby dentists. After a variety of different exams (xrays, dye tests, soft enamel with a pick, etc.), both doctors didn’t find a single cavity nor signs of teeth grinding. While Dr. Rizkalla has a kind demeanor, his diagnoses made me question his professional skills in addition to having cuts and blisters on my mouth from his extremely large hands!
