I would not recommend this orthodontist to anyone, especially for children. Orthodontic care is a collaborative effort on the part of both the patient - as well as the orthodontist (and his staff) - and if they are not willing to address problems that one may have after hours without shaming the patient (especially one that the patient believes to be an emergency) this can directly impact the experience/treatment while a patient is under their care. How a patient is treated (for emergency) after normal business hours have ended, speaks volumes about the type of professional they are dealing with. No matter how good a doctor's credentials may be, if he doesn't have the same or better in bedside manner - he's not a good fit for me.

In my opinion, patient safety is neglected. In an effort to maximize patient turnover and profit, doctor overbooks appointments and admits as many patients as possible (specifically children and minors) inside office treatment area, but then leaves them unattended and unaccompanied in hallways and other rooms. My daughter is 10 years old, she was emotionally distraught and afraid, as she sat unaccompanied without any supervision for over an hour before anyone attended to her by either the doctor or his staff. After an extended time (over an hour), she wanted to get out and see her mother in the hallway, but there was no one around to help her and was emotionally distressed. If doctor is not ready to see the patient, children should not be brought into the office. Parent is led to believe that child is being treated and is under professional care, meanwhile child is being left alone unsupervised for extended and unreasonable periods of time. I believe this is a systemic issue at… this practice, not an isolated incident.
