More about Dr. Craig C Pettey
Dr. Pettey, Nann and their three children have lived in the Cypress area over 30 years. Their children all attended school in Cy-Fair schools graduating from Cypress Creek High School. The family has continued to grow in numbers, adding in-laws and five grandchildren. None of their immediate family still live in the Houston area. This separation has not kept them from being together, however. They manage to spend two or more weeks each year enjoying either the water or the snow. Dr. Pettey is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentists. The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) is an organization of general dentists who are dedicated to professional development and continuing education. All AGD members must remain current with advances in the profession to provide quality patient treatment. A general dentist who is a "Fellow" in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) has been recognized by other general dentists as a leader and an example to other dentists of the importance of quality continuing dental education to patient care. To earn a Fellowship Award, your dentist must earn a minimum of 500 approved continuing dental education credits and pass a comprehensive 400 question examination. Your dentist must also be an Academy of General Dentistry member for 5 continuous years. While attaining Fellowship is a challenge, it allows dentists to remain current with what is new in dentistry, and to incorporate the latest techniques into their practices. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, the Houston District Dental Society, the American Orthodontic Society and the International Association of Orthodontics. Dr. Pettey has enjoyed completing orthodontic treatments for teenagers and adults for over 15 years. Often his orthodontic skills are a necessary foundation to his services as a restorative and cosmetic dentist. Dr. Pettey is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon). He served a two year mission for his church as did his two sons. He still enjoys speaking German with anyone but especially with his son Bryant. Adam served in Brazil and speaks Portugese. All the Petteys are avid Houston Rocket fans and participate in golf, skiing and church service.
