Dr. David M Firestone, DDS

I first met Dr. Firestone when I had a filling fall out from a previous dentist. I was going on a ski trip that weekend and I needed to find a dentist immediately. However, this was a weekend and most dentist offices aren’t open. Saturday or not, I had to try and find one! So, I opened up the Yellow Pages, (yes, the Yellow Pages) I called every dentist in the book-and every office was closed or would not see me. I keep trying and finally reached Dr. Firestone’s office and pleaded my case like the last 20 calls. The front desk said “the doctor was on his way out and they were closed.” I lowered my head in defeat, as I put down the phone, I heard the lady on the other end of the phone say.. “You know what? he just overheard us and said, “he loves skiing” so come on in and he will wait for you. Dr. Firestone is not only a dentist but a creative, charming and passionate person. You will notice this when you first come to his office. He has created a wonderful environment of artistic… expression. The office has water falls and art sculptures throughout the property. When you enter his office, which by the way is not your typical high rise, but a independent building that’s more like a house. As you enter the office, you will notice his amazing photography displayed on the walls. HIs pictures allow us just a glimpse behind Dr. Firestones creative eye. His personal photography showcase’s everything from flowers to his tour of duty in Vietnam. Dr. Firestone's experience in the dental field is well known throughout the medical community. Others call him “The Magician” because the magic he can do with difficult teeth. Trust me, I’ve had first-hand experience with his magic touch. Its not an illusion. He has done wonders making my teeth healthy. Dr. Firestone goes above and beyond the normal type of dentist. I needed gum surgery, he showed up and worked with the oral surgeon. He sat with me during the entire surgery. With over 50 years being a dentist he has been around the block. He has been a soldier and a dentist during the Vietnam war. He has not only worked on American soldiers during war time, but healing the local Vietnamese villagers and their children. His professional ability is only surpassed by his humanity. Dr. Firestone’s ability crosses international borders and back to the the San Fernando Valley. He will never recommend unnecessary dental procedures or make you feel bad for not flossing enough. When you first meet him… you'll probably call him Dr. Firestone, but soon enough, you’ll be like everybody else - and just call him - your friend.
