Dr. David Marshall Book

Had a consultation 2 weeks ago, was told I needed a root canal but they needed authorization from my insurance company. They have ignored all my calls when I attempted to check the status. I found out they haven't even attempted to get the authorization yet and have still not returned my numerous calls. I'm going elsewhere.

He got me out of pain and was very sympathetic and gentle. I would not hesitate to recommend him.

Dr Book himself seems very kind and knowledgeable but it was extremely odd to me that there is not a single other person in the office. No receptionist, no billing, no one to answer the phones, confirm appointments, or keep an eye on bad reviews online (hint). I normally have a fairly high tolerance for office visual appearance - as long as the doctor is good which he seems to be - but this office really overshadowed everything. It actually appeared to be a bit dirty like stained equipment (spit sink) and things like that. Maybe it's just outdated but I couldn't shake the bad feeling about it. I wanted to like him given some good reviews but the whole experience was just odd.

If the guy was nice and caring, I wouldn't mind that he works alone, but just on the consultation he was unfriendly, rough and insensitive. Not traits I want when I have a root canal.

My root canal procedure was a painless experience.

I was in such pain before I saw Dr. Book. He treated me with kindness and compassion, and my pain was gone the next day. Thank you for taking away my pain. You are the best!!!

I don't know what the other reviewers were talking about, but Dr. Book was kind and gentle and made my root canal experience a very positive one and would not hesitate to recommend him.

No bedside manner... Most painful experience! Doesn't have a receptionist, or assistant! Can you say "red flags" everywhere... Ruined my tooth.... Run don't walk out

As one other person mentioned, my root canal was interrupted multiple times by telephone calls to the office. Dr. Book also did my root canal when he had a bad cold.
