Dr Novotny was my dentist for a couple of years and the negative issues quickly followed. From crowns not set correctly, 2 rear crowns were not glued-in properly and fell out. One of these crowns was abutted onto a natural tooth which looks and feels irregular and food always gets lodged between them. Either the lab received an incorrect impression or Dr Novotny did not care enough to get a revised impression to send out to their lab. The last visit showed his complete lack of care and professionalism, he stated he had to replace a filling, he prepped the tooth and had a silver mercury-based almagam (my dentist now is baffled why he used that on a front tooth with the knowledge that I am spending thousands of dollars right now to aesthetically improve my smile. I asked him to use a natural tooth color composite and he said there was no such thing and quote, "If that was the case, I would be rich." Proven by other dental professionals since, "he lied" to me. Now, I have to endure the pain, shots of novocaine and expense of having a tooth colored tooth material to replaced. I would never let him practice dentistry on me again.
