Dr. Hal Harry Kimowitz, DDS

This is a family owned and operated practice that is really only concerned with how much they can squeeze from your pocket. This practice is excellent at catering to their own family's needs other than their current patients who are in need of emergency help. If you a fast paced working individual, this practice will not accommodate you. They conveniently take off all day Wednesday and they close shop at 2pm on Friday's. This is a practice that gives off the facade of caring "about your well being" when really they'd rather give sweet lip service than tell you the amount upfront before going through with the procedure. This past Monday a filling that Hal or Adam put in a couple years ago became faulty like they always have in the past. My tooth then cracked in half, so as I am trying to make an emergency walk in appointment because I am in thriving pain, they left me out to dry. Both secretaries stated, "Oh, I'm sorry our schedule doesn't accommodate your schedule, we don't… work on Wednesdays and the dentist is gone by 2pm every Friday, can you come in at 7:30-8am"? It is evident this practice doesn't understand that people in the world work 12-16 hour days unlike this practice's cake walk of their hours offered to all patients. If you dentist cares, they will tell you to come in when you are in pain.... not try to over compensate for not enough dentists in their office to accommodate CURRENT patients. I was with this practice for almost ten years, I have found another dentist and this place should really be ashamed of how they conduct emergency issues. Don't be fooled by their "we care about you" lip service.

My experience with Dr. Hal & Adam Kimowitz AND the entire staff has been a 10 out of 10, from start to finish. I was one of the people searching online for the best option to correct my smile, and even visited 2 other dentist in Denville prior to me coming here. As soon as I walked through the door I knew this was going to be the best place. Everyone was so knowledgeable and friendly at the front desk and prepared for my question prior to even seeing the doctor. Once I was in the exam room, Dr. Hal went over everything that he would do with me if I chose to proceed, then he told me to go home and think it over with my wife. I knew based on the reviews i read, other patients that i spoke to, and other consultations that i had, that he knew worlds more than the "competition". Dr. Adam Kimowitz and Dr. Hal Kimowitz are such nice people, It is hard to actually describe in a review, you will just have to come in and experience it yourself. I chose to move forward with Dr. Kimowitz treatment… plan for ClearCorrect aligners, and couldn't be happier.

I do not know where to start. I was promised the "teeth in a day", as its sometimes referred to to be a feasible option for $36,000. After 2 years of weekly visits, failure to properly medicate, aganizing bone grafting, EVERY IMPLANTS DAILED. He returned $10,000 and admitted his negligence and forced me to sign an agreement in exchange for the partial refund. He once "bribed" me to remove a truthful review he viewed as negative. The re review was truthful but I was in terribly in pain so I retracted the review for a script on Tylenol 3. I do not care what I signed I di not want others to fall victim to this man and I'm pursing him legally this month. Hal is far too old to operate on patients. The average surgeon retires by age 60, Hal is in his 70s. I will update on ALL review sites going forward..

I had three teeth worked on by him all of which he capped with one being a root canal and cap. The one cap I immediately had issues with. He told it it was nothing. Eventually the swelling went down but have had several irritations/infections with that tooth. I recently went to a dentist who told me the tooth is fractured and will need to be pulled and was probably fractured when the original work was done. The tooth that I had the root canal on broke at the gum line and had to be pulled. The third tooth, just a cap, has a bump where the injection site was. It has not gone away in five years and may need root canal. He also did not tell me until the work was done that insurance barely covered it and I owed him several thousand dollars. Don't go to him unless you want to end up having more unnecessary work done because it wasn't done correctly in the beginning.
