Lack of Knowledge

Our elderly father frequent the office for years until we came down and realized the quality of care he was receiving. Not only did the staff speak down upon him, but the quality of care was less than substandard. After listening to our father mention his discomfort on a few occasions after a few visits my siblings and I started discussing attending appointments with him only to discover daddy was down playing the level of pain and respect. We showed up shortly after him only to hear staff speaking to him as if he was a deaf child and when she discovered we were there for the support and care of him her tone quickly changed. Well to say the least the dental service he received was just as lacking. His second set of bridges were ill fitting and repairs made them no better. We ended up taking them to another office and having them corrected to prove to him Dr. Hardy's office was outdated and lacked the technology required to serve a modern dental world. His bridge had discoloration that ill matched his natural teeth color and he was told what he requested was not what he wanted, only to be given exactly what he desired from another office in Wake County. The new office has yet to receive the requested xrays and it has been quite some time since it was requested and the new work was done. We wanted to give the office the benefit of the doubt, however the last straw was the call our father received last week reminding him of his appointment and the same nasty tone the support staff presented when he attempted to remind her he no longer used Dr. Hardy for his care.

poor

I am dissatisfied with the amount of care this office shows. Yes they have worked with me on my payments but im talking quality of care. My mother went to have some dentures and she went back after spending a few thousand on them because they started to turn colors and she needed the religned and the dentist was going to charge her an additional 400 per plate. Not going there anymore

More about Dr. James G Hardy

James G. Hardy, D.D.S. Dr. James G. Hardy, a member of Old North State Dental Society, established his Louisburg, North Carolina practice in 1981 intent on offering access to affordable dental care. His dentistry, which embodies a genuine will to help others, has flourished over the years by adding patients across Franklin, Eastern Wake, Nash, Vance, and Warren counties. A native of rural North Carolina himself, Dr. Hardy easily identified the tremendous need to improve oral health through education, prevention and effective treatment in small communities. He grew up the son of a sharecropper in North Hampton County. Today, he is a well-known local dentist committed to helping patients transform not only their smile, but their overall health. In 1981, he completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill where he was recognized for outstanding clinical work in Endodontics by the American College of Dentistry. That same year, he hung his sign as a solo practitioner: James G. Hardy, D.D.S. in the heart of Louisburg with one dental assistant and three operatory rooms in 1981. He simultaneously treated patients at a public health clinic in Soul City, North Carolina as a 2-year service commitment to National Health Service Corps. Today, the practice boasts 10 operatories and a staff of 12, including his first-ever employee and his first-born child, Dr. Alecia Hardy. Together, as a father/daughter dental team they also operate a dental clinic at the Wake County Detention Center each Friday to provide necessary dental care to inmates. Dr. Hardy attributes his success to being a naturally compassionate and patient person who makes time to deliver “old fashioned” patient care. He is most proud of the impact he has made improving the dental IQ and oral health conditions throughout an entire area where access to care was once limited. When not busy fixing teeth or spending time with his wife, three daughters and extended family, he is active on the golf course and within his congregation at Davie Street Presbyterian in Raleigh.
