Wonderful dentist! Always willing to fit me in when I need it, and her work is excellent. Very caring for her patients, and doesn't overcharge or make up work that isn't needed. My mouth is in good shape because of her!

The patient whoo wrote the bad reviews asked Dr. Lazarus out and she declined. He also wanted to continue going to Dr Lazarus and she told him she could no longer see him in her practice. She is an excellent dentist. Don't pay attention to fake reviews.

Dr Lazarus is by far the most comforting and accommodating dentist I have ever encountered. She makes you feel right at home and her work is impeccable. Dr. Lazarus was there for me today when no one else was. Not only did she care about my tooth needing repair, but she cared about me as a person. I am so very grateful for her calming presence while she quickly and efficiently worked on my tooth. I have never met such a compassionate and understanding dentist! Believe the reviews. Janet Lazarus is an AMAZING dentist. She took me on as an emergency new patient needing a 2nd opinion. I was told the previous day, by a well know dental chain, that the ONLY solution to relieve my tooth pain, & swollen, bleeding gums, was to have 2 root canals, crowns, & a wisdom tooth extracted. I did not want the root canal option. I was then told all 3 teeth needed extracted immediately. My appointment wih Dr Lazarus was not what I expected. I was braced to have extractions, & just hoped maybe it was only 1 or 2 teeth I would be losing. I left Dr Janet Lazarus's office with ALL of my teeth, no pain, & no swelling of my gums remained. She used no drugs. She examined my mouth carefully, thoroughly, we did another xray because the xray taken at the other dentist's office were not good pictures. Upon viewing her xray & gently poking around a but, she then asked me if she could do a cleaning, so she could get a better look directly at my teeth before deciding to extract anything. She was not positive I needed extractions and wanted a closer look. Of course I agreed. She is so gentle & thorough, it was my choice to not use any numbing gel on my gums. When she got to the sore spots, she again gave me the option to numb my gums. But I did not need it. And I am a total baby about going to the dentist! As I sat in the chair & she worked, my pain got less & less. She carefully removed what 4 orthodontists & several other dentists had left behind, & told me I had to live with. This was at the root of my problem, it was cement from braces that was 30 yrs old holding debris & causing my gums to become infected. By the time she was done, I was completely out of pain. I asked her how this was even possible. Aside from her being patient, thorough, having a VERY GENTLE touch, she uses ozone water in all of her procedures, for all of her patients. It's her standard protocol. I did not know this going in, & I may not have believed the complete & total difference using ozone water makes, if it did not just happen directly to me. Since I was in NO PAIN, not even gum tenderness, & my swelling was gone, we decided to wait & see if I really even need an extraction at all. What did we actually find? I do need a few fillings, & I have some gum disease, she will reassess & we will work on the REAL issues at my next appointment. If I did not go to her for a 2nd opinion, I would have lost 3 teeth to an unnecessary series of procedures. I'm just so happy to still have all of my teeth & no pain, I almost forgot to state HOW GREAT my teeth now look - I have never seen my teeth without that cement from my braces in 30 years. While it was clear, it was discolored, on front & back teeth. I was told by each dentist I saw it could not be removed, a few tried & failed. She was confident in her skills to remove it, & it did not hurt one bit. I am now proudly smiling pearly whites & I didn't need bleached. I am so thankful to have found her, which was through this site & wellness.com, & the reviews of others before me. Thank you to those who came before me!

Dr. Lazarus has wonderful wellness focused options in modern dentistry. She is extremely knowledgeable and cares enough to listen to every concern. She offers many payment options and goes to great lengths to insure the comfort and health of her patients! She’s also friendly and easy to talk to! Highly recommend!

I also appreciate that she does not put you under for a tooth extraction. That is one thing that horrifies me about "modern dentistry" nowadays. I found Dr. Lazarus by searching through the internet for doctors that used Ozone. I spent 2 years debating between a root canal and an extraction, and a few rounds of antibiotics later during the Covid-19 Quarantine, I need to make that decision final. I did a ton of research on root canals and decided on an extraction. Then I found out about Ozone water, and that led me to Dr. L. I drove over an hour from Somerset County but it was very worth the drive. I learned that her dad was/is a dentist and her mom a hygienist. She discussed my options and we proceeded with the extraction. She gave me some Arnica under my tongue for the swelling, a dose of vitamin C, a topical numbing agent, then some injected Novocaine. The water she uses during the process for rinsing was reverse osmosis distilled ozone water (I think?) Anyway, I was so nervous but she told me I was an excellent patient. I was the only patient at the time and she was in absolutely no hurry what so ever. She honestly seems like she just loves to help people and she loves what she does. She's really cool. And smart! I was picking her brain the whole time because she has so many neat things to look at in her office. Also, she did the whole thing on her own - her assistant didn't come into work because of the virus so everything from data entry to the whole surgery, she did it. She was everything I was looking for in a dentist. Trustworthy, knowledgeable on the dangers of mercury fillings and root canals, patient, caring, a wealth of information on natural health, and good at her craft. Upon successful completion of the root canal, she did a final x-ray to make she she got even the tips of the roots and discovered one small piece still there and got it out. Very thorough. This is my first and hopefully last extraction, but I plan to go back regularly. I texted 3 family members after I got home who have asked me about dentist recommendations in the past and told them all about her. I will be taking my children too for sure. I know reviews aren't supposed to be this good, but this doctor/person is a GEM!!! For real! :) From a 34 year old self employed mom of two small kids.

Dr. Lazarus was fantastic! I was referred to her in an emergency and hands down, she is my new favorite dentist!!! I couldn't thank here enough for fitting me in and helping me. Definitely one of the best!!!

I came in because I broke a filling and Dr. Lazarus repaired it perfectly. She also found a tooth that was not in good condition. The tooth didn't seem to bother me but after it was repaired, my entire mood seemed to change. I felt calmer, more relaxed. Apparently this tooth was really bothering me and I didn't realize it. I keep trying to write a review and when I submit it -- this site says come back later. So I will try again, Dr. Lasarus is amazing, I went in for a filling replacement and through an x-ray ended up having a tooth removed that didn't seem to be bothering me. It seems that tooth was stressing me, for as soon as it was removed, I felt calmer, relaxed as if a weight had been lifted. Dr. Lazarus was right. I feel great and then she replaced my filling. Amazing.

I had a tooth that didn't seem like a problem. After an x-ray I was told this tooth is bad and needed to be taken out. It was taken out and everything seemed fine. I went to bed and the next morning I felt like a weight had been lifted. Apparently I had been stressed by this tooth and hadn't even realized it. The removal had made me feel wonderful, calm and basically happy. Thank you.

I am beyond delighted that I can FINALLY say I have a dentist that I can trust. Dr. Lazarus is impressively knowledgeable with more than just biologic dentistry, an overall wellness of the body, and that is very important to me. The office is clean, comfortable, and puts you at ease. Staff is very accommodating and a pleasure to talk with. I will be a patient of hers for years and years to come. I am actually looking forward for my next check up!
