Dr. Rubinstein was raised in Pearl River, New York and graduated from Nanuet High School. He attended college at The State University of New York at Binghamton, graduating Phi Beta Kappa with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1982.Â
Dr. Rubinstein earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine in 1986. Here he received the New York State Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Outstanding Senior Dental Student Award. Following dental school, Dr. Rubinstein completed a year long General Practice Residency at The Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, New York.
In 1993 Dr. Rubinstein received the prestigious Fellowship Award from the Academy of General Dentistry, which required him to pass rigorous examinations and to have completed over 500 hours of continuing education credits. As an active member of the Ninth District Dental Society and the Northern Westchester Study Group, Dr. …Rubinstein remains informed of current techniques by attending numerous continuing education courses.
Dr. Rubinstein was honored in 2009 by the Ninth District Dental Society for 1500 hours of continuing dental education achievement representing dedication to the profession and patient care.  Dr. Rubinstein has attained certification and proficiency in use of three different types of lasers; the diode laser, the carbon dioxide laser, and the erbium:yag laser. He is an active member of the Academy of Laser Dentistry, and remains committed to improving patient care through both technology and education.
Dr. Rubinstein was voted by his professional peers in 2009 and 2010 to be one of Westchester County's top dentists. This honor was published in Westchester Magazine, and is based on years of experience, continuing education, manner with patients, use of new techniques and technologies, and physical results.Â
