Dr. Hathaway
Dr. Hathaway was born and raised in Bryan, Texas. She is the daughter of Julie Birkner and the late John Birkner.
Dr. Hathaway graduated from Bryan High School and then from Sam Houston State University with a degree in Biology and a double minor in Music Education and Chemistry. Her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree was granted by Baylor College of Dentistry in 1992, where she finished in the top 10% of her class. She then completed a hospital-based general practice residency program at Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas. In 2001, Dr. Hathaway received her Fellowship award with the Academy of General Dentistry. In 2008, she received her Fellowship award with the American College of Dentists.
Dr. Hathaway returned to Bryan in July, 1993 to open her practice at 1615 Barak. She moved the practice to its current location on December 31, 1997. She is currently on staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
Dr. Hathaway is married to Phil Hathaway of Houston. They have two children, P.J. …and Jamie.
