Dr. John Denton Barras, DDS

I was so nervous consulting a dentist about my pain, because it could have been a number of things. When Dr. Barras told me that I was experiencing TMJ symptoms, I was relieved because it seems that he's very renowned in the TMJ field! He explained my treatment options to me in a very clear way so that I knew exactly what to expect, and made me feel comfortable the entire time. Plus, everyone who works in his office are SO nice! If you need a TMJ dentist that's in the Houston area who actually knows what he's doing and will treat you with kindness, I cannot recommend him enough!

John Barras and his staff do a wonderful job. They are very professional and always adress any of my questions / concerns. They make the entire process quick easy and painless!!!

Terrible dentist. Does unnecessary work

Terrible experience! Nice office and friendly staff but I spent $5000 (out of my own pocket), resulting in 6 trips to his office in 2 weeks, pain that he could not resolve. Two months later I just saw new dentist who has had to replace two of the crowns/inlays put in br dr barras because they didn't fit my teeth, one of which was protruding into my gums and causing immflammation. So on top of the $5k I have had to spend about a thousand more to fix his mistakes. There is no excuse for this. Plain and simple this is not the dentist you want working in your mouth. His prices are ridiculous and he will suggest that you need to a lot of work.
