Dr. John Richard Scuba, MD

I went in to have slim lipo done and it was a painful experience. I was down for over a week. I went in for all my scheduled visits and followed all post op procedures and was concerned about the results. Dr. Scuba and the nurse assistant kept telling me that if the results did not come out the way it was expected then he would go back in and touch up. I had to wait until my six month check up. The issue was still there and it was addressed with every appointment. Until he examined me at the last appointment and said that he does need to go back and touch up. He left the nurse came in with another bill for the touch up. I paid a lot of money for results and he did not come through. He also billed me for my flanks and he never did that either. I am disgusted and hurt physically and emotionally from my experience with Dr. Scuba as a "professional". I would not recommend that anyone go to him for slim lipo...honestly I believe he does not know what he is doing. Please don't be fooled by… the pictures that are on his page.

Having never had any more serious dental procedure than a cleaning, I was much more nervous about my son's wisdom teeth removal than he was. Dr. Scuba explained everything in such detail that I was left with no questions and very little fear. From the initial visit through the followup, everything went smoothly. Awesome staff! Great service.

Had slim lipo done 6 months ago and was disappointed in the results. I was told by the staff that the work I had done would cost me extra for Dr. Scuba to go back and touch up the areas he missed. I was told that it would cost me half of what I had already paid to have done. I decided not go back and to pay for another doctor to correct what he didn't do from the beginning. I feel sad and deceived by their lack of knowledge and compassion. I do not recommend for anyone to go to him for any type of body sculpting.

Staff is HORRIBLE! Unprofessional & rude. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

Doctor extracted more than was nessesary and charged for extra procedures that was not advised would be done before or after the surgery. was not aware of the extra procedure until reviewed the bill which was much higher that advised. When I asked about the extra procedure, I was advised he was not aware of the problem until he went in to perform the surgery and they had no intentions of advising before or after the surgery. His bedside manner is not pleasant nor from the staff. Would not recommend!!

Words to describe Dr. Scuba and his staff? Unprofessional. Incompetent. Condescending. His bedside manner is practically non existent as he is so easily threatened by any and all questions. My appointments are regularly moved to accommodate him, and it often interferes with my work due to their inconvenient hours and strangely short work week. Also I resent that they use the urgency of the patient's condition as leverage in their scheduling and rescheduling and rescheduling. The one thing I scored well about this place was the "accurate diagnosis" and I shouldn't even give them that considering that my condition (congenitally missing teeth) has been diagnosed with certainty for as long as I can remember. After numerous substandard appointments and one horrific appointment, I will never be using Dr. Scuba again. I would suggest to anyone else to look virtually ANYWHERE else for a better doctor.

At the consult the nurse tried to convince me not to get my wisdom teeth out bc being put to sleep could cause death. Then the doctor said I was trash because I was from MI. Then today I was 5 minutes late (called to let them know on my way there) the desk staff said they had other appts today and those "valued customers"would not be late. Then his rooms are filled with info on plastic surgery and nothing about teeth (which is whatever but seemed odd). Bedside manner deserves no stars. I woke up have way through appt and he was talking badly about me. Then I never seen him after and my husband took me home. The guy called to check up(the office stated he calls once and won't leave a msg). My husband told him what happened and he admitted to talking about me and didn't feel bad at all. My mouth is fine so I guess I'm thankful he did a decent job but his mannerism is awful. He is cranky and old. Save yourself the emotional damage and go some where else.

Great Dentist for complicated Wisdom Tooth extraction. Very friendly guy.

Dr. Scuba seemed to be offended that I would ask him any questions about the proposed procedure. When I asked him about anesthesia, he walked out of the room. He was very unprofessional!
