More about Dr. Kellye N Rice
Meet Dr. Kellye Rice - A Cosmetic Dentist & General Dentist Located in Brentwood, Tennessee A native of Huntsville, Alabama, Dr. Rice received her B.S. in Biology from David Lipscomb University, and then went on to complete her dental degree from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. She and her husband, Jeff, moved to Franklin in 1986, where she opened her dental practice in the Cool Springs area. "I have always been terrified of the dentist. This was my first visit in 2 years. Dr. Rice and her staff have been excellent. I no longer need valium or nitrous oxide. Due to my wonderful experience, I will definitely follow up every 6 months, which I haven’t done in 10 years. I am new to the area and would advise those who have a fear of the dentist to give Dr. Rice a try." K.S. Dr. Rice believes in a warm and personal approach to her patient’s dental concerns, built on the foundation of first listening to her patient’s concerns about their mouth, and then diagnosing the individual need of each patient. Of course, she believes that preventive care (including regular exams and cleanings) are a vital part of one’s overall health. Dr. Rice is a proud member of the American Dental Association and its state and local chapters, and has received numerous ACE awards for post graduate continuing education beyond their annual requirements. She is also a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, and is active as a charter member of the Pinnacle Study Club, a local chapter of the Seattle Study club, focusing on providing direct patient care to those in need, while creating an atmosphere for higher learning. She has attended extensive coursework at the Kois Center for Excellence in Dentistry in Seattle, and has completed courses and continuums at the Dawson Center in St. Petersburg. She is both a certified Lumineer and Durathin trained clinician, and believes in a very individual approach to cosmetic dentistry for her patients. Dr. Rice is a board member for Morning Star Sanctuary, a haven for those who suffer from the effects of domestic violence. She is also active on the board for the newly formed Franklin Suzuki Academy, enriching the lives of young string musicians in Williamson County, and a member of the Middle Tennessee Suzuki Association. Dr. Rice and her husband, Jeff, have three children, Haley, Hunter and Hope. They are members of the Brentwood Hills Church of Christ. For fun Dr. Rice enjoys playing the drums, piano, and violin, and has a special place in her heart for local theaters she has been involved in with her family, Pull-Tight Players in Franklin and the Town Centre Theatre in Brentwood.
