Best Periodontist in Northern Virginia! I have extreme dental anxiety and had already met with three other local periodontists before choosing Dr. Sperling to perform my dental extraction, bone graft, dental implant, and abutment procedures. Here are the things that separate Dr. Sperling from the other periodontists I consulted with: Staff - Every employee at Dr. Sperling's office is extremely knowledgeable, professional, patient, and kind. The office staff are fantastic and Haley did a great job of clearly communicating to me my estimated expenses and related insurance information upfront prior to any procedure and always worked hard to be as accomodating as possible in working with my schedule. Anna and the other dental assistants were a huge source of comfort during my procedures. Anna has a very calm and warm demeanor that instantly puts you at ease. She also has first-hand experience in being a dental implant patient so she can truly relate to what you are going through. Dr.… Sperling is beyond patient. She never makes you feel rushed and is excellent in addressing every question and concern while thoroughly discussing every option. Office - The office is located conveniently off of 123 in Vienna. The office itself is clean, modern, and outfitted with the latest up-to-date equipment. Anesthesiologist & Pain Prevention - Dr. Sperling works with an Anesthesiologist who can come to your procedures to provide you with a higher level of comfort should you need it, like I did. I was under IV sedation for my dental extraction and graft procedure and implant procedure. I was extremely pleased with how smoothly both procedures went and I attribute my quick recovery and healing to the fact that I didn't have any pain immediately following the procedures. Dr. Sperling provided oral sedation for my last procedure and that too went very smoothly with absolutely no pain following the procedure. Dr. Sperling and her office are HANDS DOWN the best specialists in the area. I highly recommend her to everyone I know and my family and I will never go anywhere else.

I’d give way more than Five Stars if I could to Dr. Sperling & her staff because they are the very best! All are dedicated, welcoming, responsive & caring professionals. I am sooooooo glad I chose this practice to resolve my issues. It began with a throbbing tooth ache on my lower left side. A Cone Beam CT 3D Imaging was done & showed that the tooth was fractured beyond saving, Using the CT results to illustrate, Dr. Sperling explained in detail what she recommended needed to be done. Turns out that the teeth to the left & right of the affected tooth also needed attention. Procedures included extraction of affected tooth, installing 2 implants (affected tooth & vacant space to the left of the extracted tooth that had been covered with a bridge attached to the extracted tooth) prepping the tooth to the right of the extracted tooth to receive a new crown, & gum graft/buildup in the area. All proceeded painlessly. Dr. Sperling called me a couple days following the initial procedures to… inquire whether all was well. A day or 2 thereafter I experienced what I considered to be an usual amount of bleeding thru-out the night. I waited till the morning to call the office to ask to come in. Of course the answer was yes – come right away. Dr. Sperling scolded me for not calling her cell phone during the night. My reply was I didn’t want to wake her. Nonsense said she. THAT’S DEDICATION!!! Periodic follow-ups to examine progress have ensued until I’m fully healed. Bottom line: I HIGHLY recommend this practice to anyone in need of periodontal care. No need to shop around.

I RARELY give online reviews but I had to take the time to share the kindness and professionalism of Dr Sperling and team. The environment is friendly and I feel at home there. I have been treated for two major procedures and I was made to feel safe and at ease. I always leave with a big smile after some laughs and very happy with the results. The office is newly remodeled, clean and beautiful and they even have a second private waiting area if you need to work while you wait.

Dr. Sperling was very patient, caring, and informative. I knew everything I needed to know about my procedures, bills, time schedule, oral health, recovery, (you name it!) well ahead of time. Her staff is great and kept me informed and also made sure I knew of my upcoming appointments and any changes to the schedule well in advance.

I moved to Washington DC when I retired in the midwest and had no familiarity with local dental providers. When I needed to find a periodontist, a niece with 50 years of residency and a realtor throughout the region turned me on to Dr. Sperling. But did I want to travel from DC to Vienna, VA? My niece assured me that Sperling is worth the short trip and my own internet research supported her recommendation. I'm about to begin my second implant procedure with Dr. Sperling. Her meticulous attention to detail and her thoughtful recommendations and skill are always reassuring. I particularly appreciate the time she devotes to sharing with me and explaining the advanced imagery technology she uses to preview options before proceeding. Her assistants and office staff are always friendly and maintain a kind supportive sensitivity.
