Dr. Kevin James Oneill

I don't typically write online reviews, but this experience was so horrendous I have to share. Tried to post this review immediately after it happened as it was some time back, but it would not post so here we go. I went to Dr. Oneill for a root canal, the only one I've ever had. For those who don't know, a root canal is a very unpleasant experience in the first place made all the worse by this guy's terrible manners and negligent administration of his own procedure. He sat me down in the chair and without any explanation of how the procedure would go began numbing the area, after which he put some kind of a crank in my mouth to hold it open so now I can't speak or communicate in any way. This is within the first few minutes. No explanation, it was just GO time for this guy. For the next 1 hour and 15 minutes I had to listen to the doctor cuss (yes cuss) and make rude degrading remarks about how my mouth was "too small" (it's not - I'm a mid-size man and I've got 28 chompers of… medium-plus size and no crowding, underbite, overbite, etc). The worst part is that at NO TIME DURING THE ENTIRE PROCEDURE did I ever get a suction. I swear I thought I was "dry-drowning" at times and it was scary. My eyes were bleary and watering, there was discomfort and panic all over my face, and all the time his freaking assistant is just sitting there next to me with the suction device doing absolutely nothing while this guy cusses, excoriates and degrades me over the problem of my "small mouth" - The root canal tooth was my back bottom moller. It literally took all of my self control not to punch this guy when he was done because I was so angry, and he knew it because as soon as I was up from the chair he then offered an "apology" of sorts for the difficulty of the procedure and again blamed it on the problem of my small mouth. Class A you know what and the worst doctor I could imagine. Sorry to be so blunt, but no one should have to go through the experience I went through and then hand over $1,200 at the end of it.
