Dr. Kimberly M Ford

Dr. Ford performed a root canal on me in the office as an emergent procedure. I came there in a lot of pain and at first she seemed very professional. However, during the procedure I jumped in pain at least 3 times in the chair and by the end I was in tears. She ignored my pain during the procedure and kept telling me that I should not be having pain. I told her that I did not feel she gave me enough numbing medication during the procedure. She proceeded to tell me that my pain was "unexplainable" and that she gave me the maximum amount. She then wanted me to come in for a second root canal that I needed and I did not feel comfortable making that appointment and that is all the staff focused on as well was getting me for another appointment, not the fact I had a bad experience. This is the first time that I have had a root canal performed by a general dentist and I have since returned to an endodontist and had my second root canal. I can not express to you how different in a… pleasant way that this experience was compared to Dr. Ford. His competency in anesthesia during the procedure and performing the procedure was such a stark contrast. I was completely numb and felt no pain during the procedure. I do not think Dr. Ford has the experience required to be performing root canals as a general dentist and her bedside manner is horrible.
