Dr. Faber graduated from Greenville High School in 1965, from Michigan State University in 1969 and from University of Michigan Dental School in 1973. After practicing children's dentistry for two years in Switzerland, he returned to Greenville in 1975. In 1984 and 1985, Dr. Faber received extensive training in orthodontics and has added a large orthodontic component to his general practice. He has three children and resides in Greenville with his wife, Celeste. He is a member of the First Congregational Church, Boy Scouts Century Club, and past president of the Danish Festival.
