Dr. Chen grew up in Northern Virginia and received a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from the
University of Virginia. He attended the University of Washington School of Dentistry in Seattle and
graduated in 1994. After passing the dental board exams in four regions, he furthered his dental training in
a two year residency at the Unversity of Maryland Medical Center, serving as Chief Resident in his
second year. Dr. Chen far exceeds his yearly requirement for continuing education and
has attained the status of Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. He also has served as clinical faculty
for the University of Maryland Dental School at their hospital clinic and is a former dentist for the
Baltimore Ravens.
In his spare time, Dr. Chen enjoys fishing, snowboarding and scuba diving.
