In addition to providing the most modern treatments in restorative and cosmetic dentistry, Dr. Betz has taken extensive post-graduate education in providing root canals, the treatment of periodontal (gum) disease, Invisalign orthodontic treatment, and surgery using a diode soft-tissue laser. Â
Personal History
Dr. Betz has lived on the Balboa Peninsula since shortly after graduation from dental school. His son, Andy, and his wife Ya-lei just had twin baby boys.Â
Dr. Betz' leisure activities include snow skiing, scuba diving, bicycling, and sailing. He has been a member of Newport Harbor Yacht Club since 1975, where he has been chairman of the Moonstone and Cruising committees. His sailing experience started in Hobie 16's, 470's, 505's, and moved on to a Cal 34, Cal 43, and then a 46' Stephens Sportfisher in which he won the Dana Point Mako Tournament in 1992. His current main interest is getting off to NHYC outstation at Moonstone Cove on Catalina Island in his 45’ Bayliner …Motoryacht as often as possible. Our current activity there is hoop netting for lobsters.
