Dr. Leslie Briggs Wardell, DDS

Dr. Leslie B. Wardell was born and raised in Wyoming. A cowboy at heart. He grew up learning to work at a very young age. The oldest son but 3rd child in a family of 9 children. He went to work with his dad every summer to construction job sites. His parents instilled in him a solid work ethic.
He left his cowboy boots behind when he left for the big city and fell in love with Chicago where he spent 2 years doing church service. It was there in the Midwest that he met his wife, Joan, a native of the western suburbs.
His education took him back west where he attended Brigham Young University. However, he missed the Midwest, so he and his young family moved back to Illinois where he graduated from the University of Ill at Chicago.
Dr. Wardell continued on with his education at Loyola University School of Dentistry where in graduated in 1989. His first practice was in Chicago and then in 1993 he took over a practice in Glen Ellyn and has been at this location ever since. Joan started …working in the business at that time and has been the office manager.
Dr. Wardell and Joan have been married for 38 years and have been blessed with 5 wonderful children.
Their oldest son, Dr. Bruce Wardell is an orthodontist with offices in Glen Ellyn and Aurora. He is married to Tiffany and they have 4 children.
Their second son, Dr. Brian Wardell is an endodontist with offices in Wheaton and Hinsdale. He is married to Heather and they have 2 children.
Their oldest daughter, Dr. Dayna Ames, is a veterinarian and has her own mobile vet service, servicing the western suburbs of Chicago. Her husband, Randy, is a high school history teacher and football coach. They have 3 children.
Their 2nd daughter, Denise, is a dental hygienist. Her husband, Brandon, is in dental school in Texas. They have 2 children.
Their youngest daughter, Debbie, is a stay at home mom. Her husband, Ryan, is the office technical support liaison (The SureTechs) for the dental  practice. They have 1 son and a child due in Nov. 2010.
Dr. Wardell and Joan are proud of their children’s accomplishments and will be the first to admit that their world revolves around their family. It is because of them, they have their greatest joy.
