Dr. Mark T. Coene was born and raised in the Rochester area where he attended Pittsford-Sutherland High School. He completed his undergraduate studies at St. Lawrence University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. He then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Buffalo?s School of Dentistry. There he was elected a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon (The National Dental Honor Society) and graduated Magna Cum Laude. He received awards for excellence in operative dentistry and removable prosthetics. After a short-term position running the Emergency Clinic at the University, Dr. Coene joined the practice and became partners with Dr. Gary Heuer. In 2005, after 20 years as Heuer and Coene, we adopted the name Caledonia Family Dentistry.
Dr. Coene is a member of the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Society, Seventh District Dental Society and Monroe County Dental Society. Outside the office, he enjoys golf, …fishing, hiking in the Adirondacks and spending time with his family.
