Dr. Mark has spent the past 29 years building friendships and caring for thousands of wonderful families of South Louisville.  Dr. Schulte came to Louisville many years ago after growing up in Pittsburgh, PA. After receiving a BA in Biology from Belmont Abbey College in Charlotte, NC in 1973 he came to the University of Louisville School of Dentistry (ULSD) and recieved his DMD degree in 1977.  He served two years in the United Stated Navy and was stationed in Meridian, MS.
Dr. Schulte began practicing in South Louisville in 1979.  He has been honored to serve this community and appreciates the opportunity to watch as many families have grown and matured over the years.  Anyone that has had the opportunity to meet Dr. Schulte can attest that he continues to treat all of his patients with the same energy and enthusiasm that he started with nearly three decades ago.
Dr. Schulte has been extremely active in organized dentistry of the years, serving as …President or an officer in organizations such as the Louisville Dental Society, KY Dental Association, and KY Academy of General Dentists.  He is a member of the American Dental Association, the ULSD Second Century Society.  He has been an organizer and very influential in Smile Kentucky, a service organization that provides free care to hundreds of underserved children in Louisville and the surrounding counties.   
In October 2008, Dr. Schulte was elected as a Fellow in the American College of Dentists, an honor bestowed on less that 1% of dentists nationwide.  This distinction recognizes him as one of the most accomplished practicioners in his field.
Dr. Schulte has been married to his loving and supportive wife, Virginia, for 32 years.  The Schulte's family has grown over the years and now totals three sons (Mark Jr, David, and Jon), two daughter-in-laws, and three (soon to be four) grandchildren.
