Dr. Mark K Murphy, DDS

Dr. Mark Murphy D.D.S.
    Dr. Mark Murphy lives in Fergus Falls with his wife, Marianne, Their three children, Andy, Allie, and Annie, range
in age from college graduate to grade school. Dr. Murphy attended Purdue University and the University of Minnesota graduating
with degrees in education and biology in 1977. He attended the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, graduating
in 1983 in the top five percent of his class. He practiced dentistry in Bloomington, Minnesota until 1993. During that
time he was also on the faculty of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, achieving the rank of Clinical
Assistant Professor.
    Dr. Murphy and his family moved to Fergus Falls and joined the practice in 1993. Since that time, he has studied
extensively at The Pankey Institute in the area of reconstructive dentistry. He maintains several professional
association memberships including the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association and Minnesota Dental
…Association, Heartland Study Club and Pankey Affiliated Learning Group. He has won several awards for excellence in dentistry as a member of the Heartland Study Club. Continuing
dental education is important to him and he completes over 150 hours annually to keep on the leading edge of dental
advancements and to keep dentistry fresh and interesting.
    Dr. Murphy has a great ability to put patients at ease with his gentle chairside manner and attention to detail. Outside
the dental office, Dr. Murphy is an avid pilot with an instrument rating and is passionate about flying his small plane
as many places as he can find to go. He also has a love for hunting and the shooting sports. He and Marianne shoot
sporting clays together in several competitive leagues. The whole family hunts together in the fall, and snowmobile
together in the winter. Active in his church as well, Dr. Murphy and Marianne also spend time attending their childrens'
numerous activities.
