Mark W. Sheppard, DDS
Dr. Sheppard was born in Florida. He attended school at Louisiana State University in New Orleans and earned his DDS degree in 1994. He is consistently staying on top of his continuing education.

Delta Sigma Delta Professional Fraternity (lifetime member)
In his spare time, Dr. Sheppard enjoys spending time with his wife and four children. He also enjoys hiking, skiing, fishing, gardening, reading and spending time with his friends. In past years he has done volunteer work in Central America and Mexico.
He tries to keep the practice as friendly as possible. He is always concerned about providing superior dental care at a reasonable price. The care and treatment we give comes naturally because we like to view our patients as family. He is proud of his dedication to each patient and will help …everyone look and feel their best through outstanding dental care.

Melanie Sheppard  – Office Manager & Dr. Sheppard’s wife
Bachelor of Science in Biology from East Texas Baptist University in 1988
Moved to Lewiston in 1994 & began working for Dr. Sheppard in 1996 after teaching for eight years in both Louisiana and Idaho
Took accounting classes right here at Lewiston State College
Continuing education classes have been beneficial in relating her education background to modern dental practices
Loved Idaho and traveling the Northwest as well as spending time with family and friends
Has four children
Creta Rutt – Dental Assistant
Came from Nebraska to the Lewiston Valley in 1998 where she went to Dental Assisting Classes in 1994
Business college grad in 1975
Has been with Dr. Sheppard since then and was certified in 1998
Two kids and four grandchildren
Likes to read, walk, raise Shiatsu puppies and volunteer in the community
Brenda Buttrey – Dental Assistant
Has been with the doctor for six years
Two kids and one grandchild on the way
Has taken Expanded Functions and the Fundamentals of Dentistry classes
Worked with orthodontics for 14 years in area
Likes to hunt, fish, four-wheel, Camp and anything outdoors
Shirley Alkire – Clinical Coordinator
Moved from Grangeville, Idaho where she graduated and worked as a dental assistant for 18 years
Moved to Lewiston in 2001
Has worked with Dr. since 2004
Has five children and seven grandchildren
Likes to fish, camp, four-wheel, snowmobile, crochet, knit, read, garden and play with grandchildren when not on the computer.
Sadie Garrick – Registered Dental Hygienist
Moved from Oroville, California to Lewiston in June 2011
Graduated from the Shasta College Dental Hygiene Program
Traveled to Honduras in Jan 2011 to provide dental services to rural communities
Started working for Dr. Sheppard August 2011
