Dr. Marta E Costa, DDS

Had a very bad experience. I had a TBI in a T-Bone car accident. I had two tumors (do to trauma) removed from top of my head. Her receptionist called my TMJ Dr. Barrett and told him that I was lying about the accident -- what business did Dr.Costa have in sharing my health situation with a receptionist. Lot of gossip in that office. After so many x-rays, I came down with 5 thyroid nodules. She didn't seem to understand what T-bone car accident was all about -- could be because she is not US born. I was very unhappy about the front huge crown (was charged $1,000) and asked for money back, she refused. Only after I went to Dr. Barrett did I find out that my jaw was out of socket. Dr. Costa gave me a retainer (she didn't have much training at that time) and I developed all kind of sores in the mouth because they didn't bother to polish the retainer. My accident was so severe that my jaw is still out of socket, I end up biting my lips and have been bleeding. Furthermore, I suffered… from neck injury from the accident, her assistant placed a extra pillow and I saw her make a record of that in a computer, later Dr. Costa took that information out. She told me "I am not going to lie for you." It was very difficult for me to make a sound judgement what care to have at that time, I couldn't drive for several months and couldn't fly to my mother's funeral at that time. Dr. Martha Costa made my life very miserable -- still today I am emotionally suffering from my bad experience in her office.
