She is actively involved in national committees of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and in the local component of the American Dental Association.

She served on the ABOMS Examination Committee from 1998-2005, then was elected as a Director of the Board. She will serve as President of the ABOMS in 2011-2012.
