Dr. Mary E Oldfield, DDS

Dr. MaryOldfield has been practicing dentistry in Berea for the last 28 years, 20 of which have been at her private practice at 126 North Broadway Street.
A graduate of the University of Kentucky School of Dentistry, Mary has continued her professional education throughout her career, taking courses at Louisiana State University in smile design and porcelain bonded restoration. She’s also done significant course work in full mouth reconstruction and complex treatment planning at the Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, Florida.
Mary’s goal in treating her patients is simple: try to give them the most natural smile possible. That means working with her patients to develop treatment options that will help them keep their natural teeth.
Though her office is fully equipped with digitized, state-of-the-art technology, Mary is a strong believer in choosing proven and practical methods that work, instead of opting for trendy (and sometimes more expensive) treatment fads.
As a professional …who considers her patients as friends, Mary combines a depth of knowledge in her field with hometown sensibilities, striving to give patients what they want and need at the most affordable price possible.
Mary is president-elect of the Bluegrass Dental Society and a member of the Kentucky Dental Association and the American Dental Association. She is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and currently serves on the Madison County Board of Health.
In her spare time, Mary volunteers twice a month at the Lexington Mission Dental Clinic. She also enjoys gardening and reading. She and her husband, Steve True, have been married for 27 years.
Hygienist Darrell Hager received his training at Lexington Community College. Darrell has been a member of Dr. Oldfield's team since 1998. His interests include horses, hiking, crafts, and environmental action. He has two kids, a eight year old son and a fifteen year old daughter.
