Dr. Matt James Hoidal, DDS

Dr. Matt J. Hoidal, D.D.S., M.S. is originally from Bellingham, Washington.  He attended college locally at Western Washington University, and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Cell Biology.  Dr. Hoidal then earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from Marquette University School of Dentistry as a Cum Laude graduate.  
He completed his formal education with a Masters of Science and Certificate in Periodontology following three years of periodontal residency at the renowned University of Texas Health Science Center.  Throughout his education, he has been recognized with awards and scholarships for outstanding academic achievement.  Now in private practice, Dr. Hoidal continually engages in advanced education courses on the latest proven techniques to remain at the forefront of his specialty.
Dr. Hoidal is a member of all relevant professional associations, and is one of a minority of periodontists to maintain Diplomate status within the American …Academy of Periodontology.  Diplomacy requires completion of rigorous written and practical examinations and is the highest recognition awarded in the field of periodontics.   Dr. Hoidal's memberships include:

Dr. Hoidal's goal is to provide excellent care with particular attention to patient comfort. He fosters a relaxing office environment, and takes the time to discuss treatment options fully.  He is likewise certified to provide conscious oral and IV sedation for greater relaxation during treatment.
On a Personal Note
Dr. Hoidal resides in Sherwood with his wife, also a dentist, and their two young children.
