Dr. Matthew Martin was born in Peoria, Illinois, and was raised in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Dr. Martin attended the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor where he received his Bachelors of Arts in Psychology. He then continued his studies at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry graduating in the top 5% of his class. While at the University of Michigan he was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon national dental honor society.
Following graduation, Dr. Martin was accepted into the endodontic residency program at The Ohio State University, where he received his Specialty Certificate in Endodontics. During this time he underwent extensive training in non-surgical and surgical root canal procedures using the most current techniques and technology available. During his residency, Dr. Martin conducted research and earned his Master of Science degree for his work on Articaine infiltration over the mandibular first molar. Dr. Martin …has been published in the Journal of Endodontics for his work with genetic transfer between bacteria in a root canal and has another publication in the Journal of Endodontics for his Master's degree work with local anesthetics. His publications are:
