When you don't have anything good to say about something just don't say it. But I feel it is my responsibility to make others aware of my experience so they can make an informed decision. This is a situation of caveat emptor (BUYER BEWARE). MEGGIE DOESN'T ACCEPT ANY INSURANCE. YOU WILL HAVE TO SUBMIT ALL CLAIMS TO YOUR INSURANCE. Good luck with that. Because she is a dentist and submits medical codes for some of her procedures it confuses the insurance companies. Interestingly AFTER MY INITIAL (only) appointment I was told by Heather that because Meggie Graham is a dentist and bills out some procedures using medical codes rather than dental codes other patients they worked on have had problems with reimbursements from their insurance companies. THAT IS WHERE I AM RIGHT NOW. My insurance carrier said I could appeal the decision and explained the process. It amounts to basically earning back the money I paid Meggie. I like to know how much something is going to cost me before I… buy it. I ASKED THREE TIMES verbally for the appropriate codes for my initial visit and evaluation and was not given them. I was told each time I asked that after all the work I needed was done (the assumption I was going to have Meggie perform her recommendations) I would get a "SUPER BILL" that would have all the codes on it. In effect that does not allow me to find out how much I was going to have to come out of pocket. The term "SUPER BILL" made the hair on the back of my neck stand up because "SUPER BILL" sounds like an EXPENSIVE BILL. In addition, I was required to pay $600 IN ADVANCE before I was allowed to have my first appointment and evaluation (with a hygienist). Of the $600 I had to pay my insurance reimbursed me $124.90, or 21% of the total. Ouch! When I received Meggie's findings from my evaluation (via an email video link) I received a brief written ROF (I think that is a Review of Findings) and a TX (I think that means Treatment Plan) for what she thought needed to be done. Guess what? I was given prices BUT NO CODES. So, I still wasn't able to find out how much I would be coming out of pocket. Do you see a trend here? The brief ROF I received was in MEDICALESE AND JARGON. I believe that the common layman would need a dictionary and the Internet to de-code the document. I had many questions and comments about the video, the ROF, and the TX. MEGGIE USES LOTS OF MEDICALESE AND JARGON. Heather said if I could reach out to her if I had any questions from the video, the ROF and TX. I sent Heather an email with my questions and concerns AND AGAIN ASKING FOR THE CODES for the treatment recommendations. Heather responded that she would be getting back to me with answers to my questions. Heather got back to me and said after she talked to Meggie that I should set up an appointment with Meggie. Once again, no code for the visit. I received the same "SUPER BILL" response. I set up a visit anyway. After reviewing the lack of transparency I cancelled the appointment and fired Meggie. I figure if it looks like a duck, quacks like and waddles like a duck. It's probably a duck. There were additional issues but I don't want to turn this into a thesis (if I haven't already) : IF YOU LIKE NOT KNOWING HOW MUCH YOUR INITIAL VISIT AND EVALUATION WILL COST OUT OF POCKET, YOU FIND DECIPHERING MEDICALESE AND JARGON ENTERTAINING, YOU DON'T CARE THAT YOU CAN'T FIND OUT HOW MUCH YOU WILL NEED TO COME OUT OF POCKET FOR YOUR CARE, THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU. I ONLY GAVE ONE STAR OTHERWISE I CAN'T POST MY REVIEW, OTHERWISE I WOULDN'T HAVE GIVEN ANY STARS.
