Dr. Melissa L Dupree, DDS

I saw Dr. Dupree right when she opened her office in baton rouge. This was a decision I have regretted since. I was pregnant at the time and was informed Medicaid payed for dental work and Dr.Dupree was one of two dentist that accepted Medicaid payments. So I went with just wanting to check out one tooth that didn't even hurt but, part of it broke off. I left that office with being told I needed 15 fillings. That didn't alarm me at the time. I was grateful for having known while I was getting free work. Well, she made me come in twice a week until all the work was done. Needless to say, I felt I could work there after all the dentist work I received. Fast forward a year down the road and I start having legitimate teeth pain. I went to the first dentist who ( confidently) informed me that whoever filled my teeth just did a patch job. Apparently, she didn't remove all the infection before filling them. This caused me to need 5 root canals. I've only had three to this date. I went to 4… more dentist since I wanted to confirm the news I received. Two other dentist confirmed that was the reason I now needed the root canals. The other three preferred not to speak about other dentist. Because of my frugal ways, this Dr. Has caused me excruciating pain. I'm nearly in tears while writing this review bc of the pain I'm in with one of the teeth she did. Hopefully she has learned a lot from her newer days but, unfortunately she has caused great pain in my life and am expensive bill. I've paid $10,000 for the 3 root canals I've had done and still have more to go. I wish I could go back and never have seen her. It's a choice I have regretted since and will continue to regret. Thank you Dr.Dupree for costing me $10,000 on three root canals, the upcoming $12,000 for the others I now have to get bc of the dire pain I'm in, and the time I lost with my children for being sick in the bed for years. I don't have dental insurance and I'm a single mother of two boys. That bad decision has cost us more then you'll ever know. If anyone ever comes across this review, please note that she may be a much better dentist now. I hate to leave a bad review bc this is her livelihood as well but, it's left permanent trauma to my family and my life.
