Dr. Michael Alfandari was born and raised in the Los Angeles area. After graduating Taft High School he went on to receive his Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Sociology of Science from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Alfandari attended the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 2003. Dr. Alfandari earned many prestigious awards and scholarships while attending the UCSF School of Dentistry, including the senior student award from the Academy of General Dentistry in recognition of academic excellence. In addition, he was one of the select dental students to be recognized by the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.
  Dr. Alfandari practiced general dentistry in the Sherman Oaks area for several years prior to pursuing specialty training in endodontics. He attended the USC School of Dentistry post doctorate endodontic residency program, and received his endodontic specialty certificate …from world renowned endodontist, Dr. James Simon. Dr. Alfandari stood out amongst his peers throughout his career, continuously striving to enhance his knowledge and skills in endodontic treatment and microsurgery. Dr. Alfandari maintains a faculty position in the graduate endodontic department at the University of Southern California School of Dentistry.
  Dr. Alfandari is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, San Fernando Valley Dental Society, Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity, and Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.
