Summary
Dr. Michael Ruetty grew up in Ohio. Dr. Ruetty attended Ashland University in Ashland, Ohio and received a B.S. degree in 1977 graduating with honors. He attended The Ohio State University College of Dentistry and graduated in 1983. The following year was spent receiving extra training in a General Practice Residency Program at Miami Valley Hospital In Dayton, Ohio. After practicing in Ohio for three years, Michael and his wife Rebecca move to Maine in 1987 and have lived in Yarmouth ever since. They have three children; Adam, Morgan, and Lydia.
Most recently, May of 2007, Dr. Ruetty completed a proficiency course in Laser Periodontal Therapy through the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry. He is very excited about bringing this technology to Maine and, at this time, is the only dentist in Southern Maine trained in this procedure.
Dr. Ruetty is a member of the American Dental Association, the Maine Dental Association, and the Greater Portland Dental Society.
