                Dr. Liska grew up in Falls City, Texas (population less than 500).  Attended Texas A & I University from 1968-1972 where he was an honor student.
                Dr. Liska is the proud father and grandfather of  2 daughters, Carrie and Sarah and 2 grandchildren Ethan and Dylan who all reside in the San …Antonio area.
One of 24 Nationally Selected Students
                Dr. Liska received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston, where he attended from 1972-1976.  He is one of 24 nationally selected students chosen to participate in the “Advanced Modular Self-Directed Curriculum Program”,   a conceptually unique training program that was not offered anywhere else in the country at that time. This was offered to the 24 top achievers who could pursue a level of excellence independently.
Rated in the Top 5% of Dentist Worldwide
                After dental school, Dr. Liska served 2 years in the U.S. Army Dental Corps at Fort Hood, Texas where he obtained substantial training and experience in various specialty areas of dentistry.  During this period Dr. Liska was rated in the top 5% of dentists worldwide.  Due to his dedication and extensive experience he was offered a career position with the Army to live in San Francisco and train at the Letterman General Hospital and then advance to the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. but choose to begin his private practice in Pleasanton, Texas serving the dental community and to  raise his family.
Official Recognition from the Governor of Texas
                In 1994 and again in 1997, Dr. Liska received Official Recognition from the Office of the Governor of Texas for his work in the Texas Public School System Campaign to prevent drug abuse, violence, and illiteracy.

                In 1992, 1997, and again in 2003 Dr. Liska was interviewed by CBS television because of his use of advanced dental technologies making  his office  among the first in the country offering the highest level of care to his patients.  Dr. Liska continues to use the highest of technology and currently using the newest intra-oral camera for cavity detection and oral cancer screening. 
Served 4 Terms as President of AGD-SA
                From 1997-2000 Dr. Liska served four terms as President of the Academy of General Dentistry for San Antonio region of Texas.  He is the first person not from Bexar County to hold this position.  During his 4-year term the membership increased by 25%, the amount of continuing education provided to members increased by over 300% and the treasury increased by over 400%.  Dr. Liska continues to serve as a member of the Board of Directors.
Nominated for Texas Dentist of the Year
                In 1998, Dr. Liska had the honor of being nominated for Texas Dentist of the Year.  It is a rare privilege to be chosen by the dental community for this honor.  Dr. Liska was chosen from over 4000 dentist’s in Texas who could be potential candidates.
Voting Delegate to AGD International Meeting
                In July 2002, Dr. Liska was selected as 1 of 200 Internationally appointed delegates to the Academy of General Dentistry’s (AGD) House of Delegates.  He served during the Academy’s 48th annual meeting in Toronto, Canada.  As a Delegate, Dr
