She and her husband Gerry have three children; which keep her very busy with all their extra curricular activities. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, the Muskegon District Dental Society, the Muskegon Dental Health Coalition, and is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry.
