Summary
Dr. Miranda Dageenakis was born in Germany, but grew up in the Midwest. She now loves calling the Pacific Northwest home.
She graduated from Indiana University in 1995 with a B.S. in Biology. Dr. Dageenakis attended the prestigious Indiana University School of Dentistry and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 1998. She also received the Pierre Fauchard Academy Award for outstanding academic achievements in Dentistry.
Dr. Miranda then extended her dental education with a General Practice Residency at Indiana University Medical Center. She went on to practice dentistry in Indiana for four years, and was an Associate Instructor for the Indiana University School of Dentistry Restorative Dentistry Department.
The US Navy brought Miranda and her husband, Dr. Michael Dageenakis, to the Port Orchard area in 2002, where she met Dr. Marta Costa.
She considers herself extremely fortunate to have “found†someone like Dr. Marta Costa, who shares her practice philosophy and passion …for dentistry. They have worked wonderfully together for seven years.
Dr. Miranda’s practice philosophy focuses on using excellent clinical skills to provide gentle and caring dental treatment with an emphasis on preventative and conservative dentistry. She is committed to attending numerous continuing education courses to keep up with the newest in dental techniques, materials and technology.
In addition to her private practice in Port Orchard, Dr. Dageenakis has had the honor to serve as an Affiliate Instructor at the University of Washington School of Dentistry, teaching third and fourth year dental students the clinical aspect of dentistry. She hopes to return to serving in this capacity when her children are a little older.
Dr. Miranda Dageenakis is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Association, and Kitsap County Dental Society.
She lives in Port Orchard with her husband, their two children, and two cats. She enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
