Dr. Mojgan Ghiai

My procedure went well. But please be awaer of the sneaky charges. Also, on the day of the consultation, Laura was about to get an x-ray of the wrong tooth (I knew I needed the root canal on tooth #19, but she put in my records that it was tooth #20). Dr. Ghiai caught this, Laura apologized and I thought I was good to go. But the next day, I get a call from my general dentist asking me why Laura sent them a report to do work on tooth #20? I was shocked... Laura had missed this again. So finally, I called the office again and asked Laura to correct it. Laura, the receptionist is incredibly incompetent. On the day of the consultation Laura told me I have a $0 copay. Then on the day of the service, I was told my copay was $311. I get the insurance claim and it said my co-pay was supposed to be $115. So when I call, Laura she says actually I had a balance of $76 for the consultation, and I was responsible for the antibiotic that the insurance did not cover, so now I owed them $31. I still… do not understand where these charges are coming from but from the other reviews, it sounds like almost all patients experience this so this is sad because Dr. Ghiai is amazing - Laura on the other hand single-handedly is contributing to the low ratings.
