Dr. Nancy Joan Myers

Nancy J. Myers, D.M.D.
Dr. Nancy Myers is a native of Pennsylvania and joined the practice in 2002.  A graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, she attended Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia.  She graduated from Temple with honors and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society.  After completing dental school on an Air Force scholarship, she entered the Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at Bolling Air Force Base, Washington, D.C.  Upon completion of the residency program she served a year and a half at Incirlik Air Base in Turkey and 2 years at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton.
During her residency, she completed research in the field of orthodontics and was mentored by the Director of Orthodontics at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.  She presented her research at the U.S. Naval Academy and to the District of Columbia Dental Society.  Throughout her Air Force career she continued to avidly study …and practice orthodontics.
Dr Myers enjoys all aspects of dentistry and especially enjoys practicing orthodontics, TMD (Temporomandibular Dysfunction) and neuromuscular dentistry.  While the state of Ohio requires only 40 hours of continuing education every 2 years for dentists, she attends, on average, 150 hours per year.  Her practice is dedicated to performing orthodontic treatment according to the discipline of neuromuscular dentistry.  This means correcting problems that predispose kids to TMD symptoms and alleviating pain and headaches in those individuals who already have it. 
In her spare time she enjoys working out, cycling, mosaic and stained-glass art, cooking, and roaming the roads of Ross County on her motorcycle.
