Dr. Nancy Tilkin

Dr. Tilkin is a Magna Cum Laude Graduate of the University of Maryland Dental School where she was awarded numerous honors for outstanding leadership and academic excellence. After completing a general practice residency at the Veterans Administration in Washington, D.C., Dr. Tilkin returned to the University of Maryland for her postgraduate orthodontic training. In 1988, she was awarded her Orthodontic Certification and the Postgraduate Orthodontic Award for Clinical Excellence. Dr. Tilkin is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and many other local and national dental orthodontic societies. She is currently the president for the Greater Washington Orthodontic Study Club.
Prior to joining Dr. DeMarco in 1999, Dr. Tilkin practiced as an orthodontist in a large pediatric-based practice in Waldorf, Maryland for 11 years. Her area of expertise includes early intervention in the correction of dentofacial malocclusions in young children and adolescents. Dr. Tilkin is not …only highly qualified but a genuinely caring doctor dedicated to providing superior orthodontics, serving the community and improving the quality of peoples' lives. Her devotion of lifelong learning provides not only comfortable but ideal state-of-the-art treatment for our patients. Her love for her profession and dedication to her patients is obvious. She cherishes the opportunity to be part of her patient's lives by working with them to achieve a beautiful, healthy smile.
Dr. Tilkin is the mother of three children; Ryan (23), Matthew (20), and Erin (18), and is married to a general dentist, Dr. Robert Tilkin. A native of this area, Dr. Tilkin is active in local community and school organizations. Although her career and family keeps her busy, she still finds time for creative arts and crafts, reading, and outdoor sports.
