YOUR CHILD WILL BE NOTHING MORE THAN A DOLLAR SIGN TO DR. WILLIS YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE THIS STORY, BUT EVERY WORD IS TRUE. I have had at least one child in the office of Dr. Willis from 2006 - 2023. My children have seen Nancy Willis every 6 months RELIGIOUSLY. I am private insurance, private pay and as such, I have paid Dr. Willis thousands of dollars over the years. Although Dr. Willis has ZERO personality, her hygenists have always made myself and my children feel comfortable & welcome. This is why I continued to stay - despite my husband, sister & even pediatrician telling me otherwise. PLEASE READ ON.. IT’S WORTH THE READ. 1-17-23, my son had a tooth pulled. We paid $180.00 (insurance estimate). 1-20-23, I received an EOB stating I should have been billed $186.00 Okay, fine, I owe $6.00 I put a note in my phone to remind me at 6 month appt. 2-21-23…6 month appointment. I stood there as usual, credit card in hand waiting to pay, they said I didn’t owe anything. … WHAT? How could this be? Dr. Willis actually took the hit on $6.00 b/c they underestimated how much I owed? That could not be possible!!!… BUT maybe it was?? I mean, I did after all pay 96.77% of the total bill from that day. 4-3-23, Two more teeth have to go. I’m charged $146.00…Maybe that outstanding $6 is built into this charge. There is after all a “6” in there…maybe I’m paid up. I don’t ask, b/c I don’t really care. It’s $6.00. May, 2023, I get a call for an outstanding bill. I ask how much.. They tell me $11.00. ME: “ELEVEN???? If anything, it should be SIX”. OFFICE: “There is a $5.00 per month charge on outstanding balances.” ME: “Take it off, or I’m transferring out.” OFFICE agrees as long as I pay the $6.00 ME: “Can you take my credit card over the phone”. OFFICE: “She’ll charge you a minimum fee.” ME: “NO WAY!! I’ll pay it with a check. OFFICE: “Pay it at your next 6 month appointment, you live pretty far from our office” Okay cool… I put another note in my phone to pay the $6.00 at the next appointment (8-28-23), I can finally put this fiasco behind me. I move on with my life. 8-1-23 I see a missed call from the office, I ask myself… “What could this possibly be about? I thought we settled the $6.00 saga”. Next morning, I listen to the message… Thank God I didn’t listen to this before bed, or I would have been up all night. The message: “Your son has an appt. on August 28th. We have to cancel this appt & we CAN NOT reschedule until your account is paid in full, you have an unpaid balance. We have a strict policy in place, we do not keep or make appointments for people with balances on their account.” Needless to say, I drove right to their office and I paid the $6.00 (in pennies, nickels & dimes), and I am transferring out.

I spent 3000.00 out of my own pocket(my husband and I) and God knows how much the insurance paid for dental work. It was completed at a same day surgery center because giving a child conscious sedation in an office without a PALS certified nurse is just crazy. And what happened?? The crowns started to fall off. Really??? Now let’s talk about bedside manor. There absolutely is none. Worst dentist ever!! I gave her a 1 star because I was forced to give her a rating.

My son would come out with broken blood vessels from crying. When I asked to accompany him to see what what going on, I was denied. She wanted to sedate him to do major surgery. Without my approval, she capped his teeth when they didn’t need it. When we found a great dentist, we found out our son didn’t need a lot of the work that was done and didn’t need to be sedated or surgery. After getting my child’s confidence back up, he did fine at the dentist. If a dentist won’t let you with your child, leave.

Just awful. Im glad I got my kids out of there when I did. She's a terrible dentist who just wants to fill teeth and make money. Her staff is rude and unprofessional. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN TO THIS PERSON!!!! When I heard my daughter screaming and crying from the waiting room (getting a filling) and I told the receptionist that I wanted to see my child NOW I was told by Willis that my child was the problem?!?! No. Never again. Please don't take your babies to this woman!!!!

Do not go to this practice!!!! Rude unethical Doctor! She has no bedside manor and my daughter came out of the room hysterical crying telling me they yelled at her and brushed her teeth to hard!!! The front desk was ok but for dr Nancy Willis smh rudest dr ever I wasnt allowed in the room for the exam and when she told me what my daughter needed she said it loud enough for the waiting room to hear didn't take me inside the office or anything save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else!!!!

If there was an option for "zero" stars, I would have picked that - without a doubt. The only good thing about this office is that I was able to schedule an appointment the same day; that should have been my first warning sign. This office is the most unprofessional and unethical office I have ever had the unfortunate experience of dealing with. I can tell from other reviews that others have had the same issues, so I'm not the only unsatisfied person writing a neegative review. They were charging me well over double what the insurance company would have paid if they were to cover the procedure that my son was to have done. We requested that the billing office resubmit the claim through the insurance indicating that it was medically necessary but they never did - they just wanted us to pay the whole amount and then some. Due to my son needing to receive treatment asap, I didn't delay and just paid the amount. 5 days later the doctor herself called saying that we were "too worried about… payment and not worried enough about my son's health"...can you imagine a doctor actually saying this to a parent, a customer ? As if she cared about his well being ? She then went on to cancel his appointment that was scheduled for 3 days later. So, we wasted insurance money, our out of pocket money and most of all time waiting for this "dentist" to fix my child's teeth. The unprofessionalism of this "dentist" and her office staff is totally uncalled for and quite honestly disturbing. Their billing practices are unethical to say the very least. With the money they are charging patients, you would think they could at least clean up their dirty waiting area. Stay away from this office - your children deserve better!

I wish there was a way to rate this office ZERO stars for caring manner and satisfaction! This office is run like a shady used car dealership. They are very deceitful, unprofessional and I might go as far as saying that their practices are unethical. I know that it's getting harder and harder to find true honest people in the medical and medical billing industry, and don't even get me started on medical insurance, but this office has given me the WORST experience that I have EVER encountered. And either the receptionists aren't giving Nancy Willis my messages or she's refusing to call me back. Either way, these women at this office are extremely rude and at the end of the day, it's Nancy Willis' name on the door so she's the one that suffers. I may only be one person but if my review stops even just 1 family from going to this office, then I have done my job well! Please, save yourself the headache, aggravation and money and do NOT go to Nancy Willis in Scranton!
