Dr. Nathan Wayne Tilman, DDS

Dr. Nathan W. Tilman is originally from Salisbury, Maryland, received his Bachelor of Science from Wake Forest University in 1997.  He received his doctorate from the University of Maryland Dental School in 2001 as class valedictorian.  After dental school, Dr. Tilman served as a Dental Officer in the United States Navy for four years.  During this time, he completed a one year hospital-based General Practice Residency, and served for two years onboard USS Ashland (LSD 48) where he was deployed for six months in the Arabian Gulf.  After completing his military service, Dr. Tilman worked in a private practice in Virginia Beach for one year until moving to Newport in June of 2006.
Since starting his practice here, Dr. Tilman has made it a priority to incorporate the latest dental technology, including digital x-rays, CEREC single-visit crowns, and advanced dental imaging to ensure that your dental treatment is the safe, efficient and long lasting.
Dr. Tilman currently serves as the …president of the Newport County Dental Association and is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry whose members are committed to continuing education to keep their practices current with the latest and safest techniques. He also belongs to the American Dental Association, the Rhode Island Dental Association, the Providence Plantations Dental Study Club and the Rhode Island CEREC Study Club. He is also a trainer for CEREC Technology.
Dr. Tilman enjoys spending time with his wife Keri and their daughter Olivia. The three enjoy traveling, music, and any outdoor activity.
