I have had tmj for over 8 years, Dr. Van Zyl has corrected that problem and now I am headache free.

Dr. Van Zyl is a great dentist, as a matter of fact I used to call him Dr. Feelgood, as I never really experienced any pain with his procedures. I've used his dental Hygienist since the 1970's and am very fond of her, and her work. I guess the only reason I'm leaving this review is the fact I was concerned when Dr. Van Zyl said I needed my 2 front teeth capped. He said they were getting thin and he was concerned about them. Since the procedure would cost upwards of $2500, and since my 2 front teeth were OK, except for a very minor cavity in the back of one, the insurance would not pay for the procedure. I decided to get a second opinion. I went to another well known dentist in Chattanooga, and asked if he saw a problem with my 2 front teeth. He said they are thin, but he has patients with teeth thinner than mine and they seem to be OK without dental work. I did have a small cavity in one of the front teeth, and asked the new dentist to go ahead and fix it. He did and I was… very pleased with his work. I guess the bottom line is I've got a new dentist and am very happy. Jim
